Founded in 2004, Athletes for Africa has funded and led a variety of youth programs across Southeast Africa, which includes GuluWalk, an initiative that provided a voice and support to the 'night commuters', in the midst of civil war in northern Uganda.

Today, Athletes for Africa is proud to be focusing its efforts in Malawi through Ascent Soccer, which uses sport as a tool to drive education, leadership and character-building, alongside grassroots programs for youth and communities region-wide.
